PAFEC-FE has been an established analysis tool for well over 25 years.
In fact that's how the program originally got its name: Program for
Automatic Finite Element Calculations - PAFEC. PAFEC FE is an excellent
general purpose analysis tool. It also has a number of
specialist areas including vibroacoustics, lubrication and non-linear
piezoelectric analysis.
General Engineering Analysis: Static, Dynamic, Non-Linear and
Thermal Prediction
PAFEC-FE offers an excellent introduction to finite element
modelling technology. Designed to be used by both beginners
and experienced technical staff, the wide range of element
types and solution alternatives will allow models to be
created for static, dynamic, non-linear, thermal and acoustic
conditions.
Software manuals have been designed to be suitable for diverse engineering applications. Design engineers will be able to check the validity of technical assumptions and be better positioned to select between alternative designs. For applications where safety levels are important, trained analysts should be able to track down problematic features and explore ways to overcome difficulties. In organisations where physical measurements are relied upon, test data can be readily compared with FEA predictions to provide a clearer picture of a system's actual behaviour.
